Beach huts at Bellochantuy

“Bell-och-an-tee“ said our friendly hotelier. Pretty Bellochantuy on the western shores of the Kintyre Peninsula, en-route to Campbelltown. A stay on Kintyre is always special. The seas are wild, the sunsets spectacular. This day was even more special; the wedding of a friend whose family always welcome us with open arms and kind hearts.

Before the suits and boots, the hugs and tears of joy, the ceremony and wine, a calming stroll on the white sands with camera in-hand. Pastel-coloured beach huts sat snug against the gentle breeze looking out to a hazy Jura.

Another one of those days where Scotland smiles its friendly smile and the photos come easily. Sure, I’m not a people person, but there is something special about being in a huge party, full of drunk and happy souls, and every one feels like a friend.
